We are recruiting new Trustees.

Clore Social Leadership is seeking four new passionate and dedicated trustees, who are familiar with both the challenges and opportunities that face the UK social sector, to join our Board and help shape the future of social leadership in the UK.

We are looking for Trustees who bring experience, composure, self-awareness and a steadying presence to the board, able to draw on their expertise to make informed decisions, suggest innovative approaches and approach complex situations.

At Clore Social Leadership, our vision is of a society enriched by a diverse and inclusive social sector led by individuals with lived and learned experience. Individuals with a rich skill set who lead with efficiency and ethical values so they can respond positively to the changing demands of the 21st century.

Our utmost priority lies in addressing historical imbalances and disparities. By directing our efforts towards underrepresented and marginalised audiences, we aim to amplify their leadership potential, ensuring that their voices are not only heard but also celebrated.

Fundamental and unique to our approach is the belief that everyone is a leader. With this, we support individuals at all levels; we understand the different needs and pressures that come with different roles, responsibilities and experience, from new managers to senior leaders, CEOs, board members and grassroots community leaders. We offer support where it is most needed and will have the greatest impact.

We would like to recruit four trustees, each bringing expertise in one of the following areas:

1. Leadership, and Learning and Development
We are seeking a trustee with expertise in leadership aligned with the social sector who bring both practical and theoretical knowledge of learning and development.
Help us craft impactful programmes that develop the next generation of leaders across the social sector. Your insights will guide our efforts to support leaders at every level, from grassroots managers to CEOs, as they tackle society’s most pressing challenges.

2. Fundraising and Donor Engagement
We are seeking a trustee with a deep understanding of the fundraising process and the ability to engage with key donors and supporters. This will be instrumental in ensuring the continued growth of the organisation’s leadership activities, especially in empowering underrepresented groups in the social sector. Use your expertise in fundraising to help Clore Social Leadership broaden its reach and deepen its impact, building lasting partnerships and engaging supporters who share our commitment to social change.

3. Financial Management, Accountancy, and Commercial Strategies
We are seeking a trustee who can bring a balance of financial expertise, commercial insight and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by social sector organisations, to ensure that Clore Social can continue to innovate, grow and support diverse leaders in driving social change. Guide our financial strategy with sound judgement and a forward-thinking approach. Your expertise will ensure that our programmes are not only impactful but sustainable, empowering us to grow and invest in transformative leadership initiatives.

4. Strategy and Partnerships
We are seeking a trustee with expertise in strategy, partnerships and legal matters. This role is critical in shaping the organisation’s strategic direction, ensuring compliance and fostering partnerships that amplify Clore Social’s impact. With your vision, Clore Social Leadership can expand its reach, forge powerful alliances and create lasting change within diverse communities across the UK.
